SLTCAwards26: Cannock Chase Business of the Year shortlist
We recently swapped our usual screens for dodgems and ghost trains as we headed to Statfold Country Park for the SLTC Awards 26, where we were shortlisted for Cannock Chase Business of the Year for the third year running.
It was a corporate awards evening that seemed like entering a dream, rather than attending an ordinary, formal ceremony. Rides were whirring, lights were flashing and guests in black tie moved between a working fairground museum and the awards hall. Only at the SLTC Awards can you step off a ghost train and immediately enter a corporate celebration.
A proud moment for Cosmik Carrot
Being shortlisted again for Cannock Chase Business of the Year is a milestone that means a lot to us as a local digital partner. It reflects consistent work over many years helping organisations in and around Cannock Chase show up better in search, improve their websites and build a stronger digital presence.
We were especially delighted when Olympic champion and compere Gail Emms MBE gave Cosmik Carrot a shout out on stage for having the best named business of the night. We will happily take that unofficial award.

Celebrating our fellow winners and finalists
We want to give a huge congratulations to Chasetown Football Club who took home the Cannock Chase Business of the Year award. Their work in the community and support for teams across all ages is a brilliant example of local impact in action.
Major congratulations also go to Matthew Small, a fellow Cannock Chase Chamber executive committee member, and to T150Energy for winning the Community Builder award and being named Best Business of the Year overall. Their dedication to charity and community projects, with thousands already donated and a clear path towards a million, is exactly the kind of ambition that lifts the whole region.
Why local business communities matter
Even more than the rides and the lights, what stood out most was the atmosphere. The room was full of:
- Established organisations with deep roots in the area
- Ambitious start ups ready to scale
- Leaders who care about people as much as profit
Events like the SLTC Awards bring all of that together. They create space for connection, collaboration and shared momentum.
For us, as part of the Cannock Chase Chamber of Commerce network, it is a reminder that our role is bigger than building websites and managing SEO. Our work helps local businesses tell their story clearly online, attract the right customers and create the growth that allows them to keep investing back into the community.
Looking ahead
We may not have taken home the main trophy this year, but being shortlisted for the third time running is a powerful sign that we are on the right path.
